About the position: This position is located at the Yakama Indian Health Center in Toppenish, Washington. The purpose of the position is to serve as a clinical specialist in pediatric dentistry and provide pediatric dental services to the designated population in accordance with IHS policies. The position reports to a Supervisory Dental Officer

Provides preventive services and fluoridation activities both clinic-based and community-based; diagnostic services through the use of history, radiographs, clinical examination, diagnostic models, and other appropriate tests.

Provides pediatric dental services using local anesthetic, nitrous oxide, sedative medications or combinations.

Provides both routine and complex restorative services; emergency services including the treatment of trauma, pain and infection.

The incumbent will obtain consultative services in medicine and other specialty areas that require a multidisciplinary approach.
